Dulcie Cajun LeRoux of Breaux Bridge is the best thing that could have ever happened to me.  I don't know what I would do if I didn't have her in my life.

Dulcie is a pure-bred Ragdoll cat.  She has blue eyes and long, soft, thick fur that is silken to the touch.  Her ears are well tufted and sit high on her head, and her paws are snow-white.  Her tail is thick and bushy, which is perfect for wrapping herself in on long, cold wintry nights.

I have had Dulcie (which I call her for short; sometimes I stick the "Cajun" on there when I am calling her if I can't find her) for the past three years; she is nearly four now and has grown into a beautiful, muscular cat.  She was a showcat, but I decided that lifestyle wasn't for me, so I retired her, and now we spend our days just enjoying each other's company.  She delights in sitting beside me while I catch up on the day's news on the television or read the paper, or even if I spend my time on the computer.  At night, she sleeps on my bed, right beside my chest, and she soothes me to sleep with soft, happy purrs.

Now that Dulcie doesn't do the cat show circuit any longer, she would rather spend time indoors.  The only time she goes outside her home is when I take her to the vet's (somehow she always seems to know when she is going to see Dr. Tanner; then she isn't so quiet or sweet!  LOL), or to Pet-Co when we are done.  I take her there so she can see the other kitties (the dogs still scare her, so I take her in her carrier; that way, she is safe and protected).

Like any cat, Dulcie prefers sleeping up to 18 hours a day, but at night, she is most active.  I hear her playing or jumping up on the counter, on the lookout for an extra snack.  She is very loving to me or my family, but she hisses or growls menacingly at strangers.  She knows who is good to her or not.

Well, I have to go.  Dulcie is meowing to be fed; I'd better get her her food now or else she might try to eat my leg LOL (NOT really).  I hope you enjoyed meeting my kitty; I certainly think that she is something special!  Everyone should have a Dulcie in their life!
