Now something about the past is relvealed and Will can no longer hide it from Jordan. It's friday night what's going to happen next.
A couple days later, Will was walking around the campus wondering what he was going to do that weekend. It was Friday and he had no plans for the weekend. Looking at the buildings around him, he thought about Jordan and her dark blue eyes. Then his thought wandered to a private beach that his uncle owns in Galveston. In his mind he saw himself and Jordan watching the sunset on a blanket. Suddenly, he heard his name being called. Confused he shook his head. Reality came back to him in an instant when he saw Jordan standing right in front of him. Confused, he sat down on the nearest park bench thinking someone else called his name. Jordan sat down next to him.
“So you were talking to me,” said Will.
“I was,” said Jordan quietly.
Both of them sat there too nervous to talk to each other.
“So what are your plans for the weekend,” said Jordan.
“So far nothing,” said Will. “What about you.”
“I plan on studying. Jericho said that he would study with me.”
“Oh yeah, how is he doing? I heard he got shot.”
“He’s doing fine. He said he’s supposed to get out of the hospital today.”
“That’s good. So what are you studying for?”
“The major English test we have on Monday. Have you studied for it?”
“I’ve studied some. English is easy for me.”
“It’s easy in my eyes too, but Jericho says it’s too hard.”
“Same old Jericho, always complaining.”
“What do you mean same old? Do you know him?”
“It’s not a wide known fact but me and him went to the same high school. He was the quarterback and I was a strong safety. To make a long story short, he got a scholarship to play and I didn’t.”
“I’m sorry to hear that.”
“Don’t be. I’m not. Since I’m not playing football I’ve had time to really think about who I really was.”
“But I remember Jericho talking about someone in his old high school going down for him. Was that you?”
“Yes it was. But I can’t complain. I like my life right now.”
The sat there for another minute.
“Hey do you want to come study with me and Jericho later on today around six o’clock. Maybe you two can catch up.”
“Sure, but don’t expect him to talk to me much about the past.”
Will got up, stretched, and walked away. Once he was out of sight and began to shake and breath hard. If Will didn’t leave when he did, she would have had a nervous breakdown. Her heart was beating fast at the thought of him coming to be with her. Then she thought about Jericho and became scared. What if she accidentally let her feeling for Will out in front of him. She put her arms around her body as a chill passed through her body. She got up and walked away thinking about how she was going to deal with this upcoming study session.
Meanwhile, Will met up with James.
“Bro she just asked me to study with her and Jericho later on today,” said Will shaking. “I can’t believe she asked me to study with her.”
“Maybe she likes you,” said James sarcastically.
“That is impossible. She has a boyfriend.”
“Well whatever the case is, you need to stop being so nervous. You’re giving me a bad reputation.”
“I think you’re doing that on your own.”
They both laughed and walked to their room.
Later on that evening, Will went to the entrance to the library and waited for Jordan and Jericho to show up. He sat down on the bench and read a book. Out of the corner of his eyes he saw a blue and grey letterman jacket. He turned his head and saw Jericho kissing a girl passionately. Will disregarded it thinking it was Jordan and put his book away. Then he jerked his head towards the two of them realizing that the girl was not Jordan. Quickly, he got up and walked away hoping that what he saw was an illusion, but when he turned around to walk back towards the bench he saw Jericho grabbing the girls butt and moving it up and down. Will could not believe what he was seeing so he turned around one more time walked about fifty yards then turned back towards the library. This time he spotted Jordan walking towards the library. By this time coincidentally Jericho and the girl separated and parted ways. Will looked at Jericho with disbelief. Jordan walked around the corner and greeted Jericho with a kiss. Will walked up to the both of them.
“Long time no see former teammate,” said Jericho. “How’ve you been?”
“I’ve been great,” said Will. “I lost most of my speed and muscles last year but other than that I’m good."
"Hey, you aren’t still sore about that aren’t you,” said Jericho.
“I far past that,” said Will smiling. “I’ve had time to think about who I really was so I’m not sore about it."
"That’s good,” said Jericho. “Let’s study inside.”
The three of them went inside and sat down at a table. Nearby students looked at them then started whispering. Will overheard one of the conversations.
“You heard about the rumors surrounding Jericho and that one football player named William Harrison,” said a boy sitting at that table.
“Yeah I heard about that. Isn’t that when that boy Will got convicted for something Jericho saw,” said a girl sitting at the same table.
“That’s the news story but I heard from someone that Will took the fall for Jericho’s mistake. I don’t know what happened to that kid.”
Will cringed when he heard that sentence. Jericho and Jordan looked up at him as they heard the conversation too.
“I heard he was in a street gang.”
“I heard he tried to commit suicide but failed.”
“I heard he was kicked out of his house.”
Will could not take any more of this. He stood up violently collected his books and walked out of the library. Jericho looked at the doors wanting to talk to him but turned on the people talking about them.
“Why would you do that,” said Jericho.
They turned to him.
“This is all things you have heard before,” said the boy. “Why are you speaking to us like that? It’s not like William Harrison was sitting with you.
Will walked back into the library and towards the table.
“I forgot something,” said he. “I need my spiral.”
The boy and the girl looked at Will and gasped.
“Oh we’re so sorry,” said the girl. “We didn’t know you were there.”
“If you were truly sorry then you wouldn’t talk about things that you don’t know about,” said Will.
And with that he walked out of the library. Jericho and Jordan followed him wanting to calm him down. When they reached the library entrance, they saw Will running in a dead spring towards his dorm.
“I’m sorry you had to hear that,” said Jericho.
“Don’t worry about me,” said Jordan. “Worry about your friend.”
“I’ll talk to him later.”
He embraced Jordan with affection.
“What’s this all of the sudden,” said Jordan smiling up at him.
“I just want to apologize for what happened in the library,” said Jericho kissing her on her neck.
Jordan immediately she began to blush hard.
“Jericho stop it,” said she playfully. “Not here in front of other people.”
“But you have to get used to it if you want to get on camera.”
“But I said I didn’t want to do your porno thing. I don’t want to show my body to everyone. I told you a million times.”
“But don’t you like it when I…”
He bit down softly on her neck causing her to moan. She pushed him away softly.
“Maybe I should leave while I still have the will to leave,” said Jordan straightening up. “I’ll see you later baby.”
“Bye.”
Jordan turned and walked away. As he stood there staring at her butt he sighed. When she was out of sight, he became angry and snapped his finger.
“You will come to your senses. When I get you alone tonight at the party, I will bang you so hard and you’ll scream so loud that everyone will stop just to listen. And I will have it on video and I will show it to everyone. You just wait Jordan. You will thank me for this. Every other girl did.”
And he walked towards the athletic dorms thinking about the upcoming weekend.
That night, Jordan and Maci was preparing to leave for a party that was being held at a friend’s house. Jordan wore a silk shirt that complimented her curves, some blue jean caprice pants, and some black string heels that wrapped around her legs up to her knees, while Maci wore a black sleeveless mini dress with a v-cut that went down to her belly button. Jordan brushed her hair, trying to make it as straight as possible.
“Maci, do you think going to this party is a good idea,” said she.
“Yeah,” said Maci putting some gum in her mouth. “Besides I need you to drive me back because I’m getting drunk as a skunk.”
“Maybe, but I get the feeling that Jericho is getting desperate about that videoing us. I also have this strange feeling that he’s hiding something.”
Maci thought about telling Jordan about the video camera when Jordan’s phone rang. She went over to it and answered.
“Hello…Oh, hey Jericho…Yeah, we’re just getting ready to leave…Oh ok…bye baby.”
She hung up the phone.
“Was that Jericho making sure we were going,” said Maci.
“No, he was just making sure we knew how to get there. He wants us to make it there on time.”
“The only reason he wants you there on time is because the designated rooms won’t be occupied.”
“I’m not going there for that. I’m going to have a good time without doing it and drinking.”
“Yeah whatever, let’s go already.”
The two left the room excited about what the night would bring them.
