Dear Journal~
Louisiana Sandusky writing. I hope this finds you well. Me, I'm not doing too good: fell yesterday. Tripped over some cords and wires yesterday while helping out at the television station (we were helping with the annual Muscular Dystrophy Telethon), and I fell. Hard. Landed on my left shoulder. As a result, my shoulder (and just about everything else) is killing me.
I also landed on my left knee. Hobbling around like an old woman. Went to the doctor's after it happened (Ronee' drove me); nothing broken: just very, very sore. Had to resort to using a cane again; my knee is just too painful.
Other than me falling yesterday, the telethon went without a hitch. Saw/met a lot of wonderful people, made many new friends, reconnected with old ones. It was a wonderful time. And Johnny, my son who has MD, was loving it: he was one of the stars of the show, and he basked in the attention. Everyone kept saying how great he looked (and he does look great!), and that he was doing well!
This is the first fall I've had since having my back surgery a few years back. My back hurts, but nothing like my shoulder and knee. Good thing I'm off work for the next few days so I can recuperate from my fall.
Today here in Middle Tennessee, it is supposed to be in the lower nineties with slight chances of afternoon thunderstorms. Tonight, a thirty percent chance of t-storms, with lows in the sixties; tomorrow, a fifty percent chance of storms, with highs in the mid eighties. Most days this week holds a chance of thunderstorms. Yuck. I'm more than ready for this pattern to break; we've had a rainy summer, and after the flooding we had back in May, the last thing we need is more rain! :(
The rain isn't going to help with my pains incurred from my fall yesterday! Today I feel more like 82 instead of 42!! :P
The family is great; it's me who ain't worth a lick. They were really worried about me when I fell. Can't blame them. I'm the glue who holds the family together, and I'm the one in charge, especially when things go wrong. Bill is good as co-captain, but I'm the main captain, and I run a tight ship!
I need to with all these kids! LOL
Well, since it's not going to be the best of weather days here in Middle Tennessee, I might as well take advantage of it and let my family wait on me while I recuperate from my fall. I'm always taking care of them; now it's their turn to take care of me!
Well, gonna go and lay down; hurting too much. Talk to you soon; take care and God bless!
~Love, your friend, Louie. :/
P.S.: Say a prayer for me. Thanks! :)
