My name is Delight Kaylene Anderson.  I live in Kingfisher, Oklahoma, with my family.  I am 12 years old.

I have two brothers: Wille Paul (10) and Cameron Michael ( 8), and three sisters:  Jordyn Michaela (5), Isabella Renee' (4), and the baby, who is two.  Her name is Angelique Danee'.

I am in the sixth grade.  I love school.  I do well in all my classes.  There won't, however, be any school today: we're currently under a blizzard warning!!  Heavy snow (maybe six inches [or more!!], with winds gusting over 45 miles an hour, extremely cold conditions.  School has already been cancelled; and the weather people are telling us to stay inside until all of this passes.  

It is not safe for man OR beast!

Anyway, when there IS school, I enjoy it.  My favorite classes are English (Writing) and Music.  I also love science.  My teacher is Ms. Armstrong; she is really nice.

I have many friends, but my best friend is Raven Douglas.  We've been best friends since kindergarten.  I think she is pretty.  She was adopted from China when she was about Angelique's age.  She has waist-length black hair that is silky-straight and soft to the touch, almond-shaped eyes that are the color of midnight, and flawless skin.  Meanwhile, I have wiry, auburn hair that has a mind of its own, hazel eyes, and freckles on my nose and cheeks, which I find embarrassing.  I'm ugly; I'm an ugly duckling compared to Raven!

I like to do many things: sing, dance, read (I read anything I can get my hands on!), watch TV, play on the computer, play on the Wii system we got for Christmas (that is, if I'm not fighting with my brothers for a turn!), go to church (we go to a Catholic church; we go to catechism every Saturday, and to mass on Sunday), and help the poor people (we help out at the local soup kitchen every month).  When I grow up, I want to be a country singer or maybe a teacher.  Or maybe even a writer.  I have many dreams.

I'd also like to go to college.  You need that in order to be a teacher.  I would like to teach kids who are handicapped.  

I have a cousin, Jeremy, who is in a wheelchair.  He has cerebral palsy.  He was born with brain damage.  It makes me sad 'cause Jeremy can't do a lot for himself: he needs an awful lot of help.  He's six, one year older than my sister, Jordyn.

Well, I'd best get back to bed or mama will skin me alive if she sees that I was on the computer before five.  (Family rule: no computer time before five a.m.!!)  Guess we're staying put due to the nasty weather conditions currently going on outside.  (Good thing mama went to the store yesterday to get what we needed before the storm!)  I can't wait until the blizzard settles down: then we kids can go outside and play in the snow!  That's gonna be fun!
