I suppose you are wondering what is up with us.  So here I am with another update. Hope you all don't mind ...

I have my bad days and my good days.  There are days where I think I have a handle on life, and on others, I see things, smell things, or hear a particular song that reminds me of my daughter, Kaysa, and I fall apart.  I still miss Kaysa as much now as on July 4, 2009, which was the day she died.  Kaysa died of a massive stroke and went into a coma on July 3; the next day, we made the painful decision to have her pulled from life support.

Sometimes Kenny and Korianne (who are now seven and five) will ask about Kaysa and wonder if she is coming back.  I tell them I wish she could, but she's now an angel, and she is up in Heaven, with Jesus, where she will continue to watch out over us.  I know they miss her as well, and it breaks my heart.  They were extremely loving and were very close with her while she was still alive.

Happily, though, life continues to get better for us.  I am in the process of adopting a child, a little boy from American Samoa.  His name is Dirk, and he is a year old, just a cute little thing.  Hopefully we will hear something soon from the adoption agency; we've already done our paperwork, had the home study, and have contacted our adoption attorney countless times, to see if he can get the process sped up somewhat.

We've already fallen in love with Dirk.  Yet I keep reminding Kenny and Korianne that he will never replace Kaysa; Kaysa will always remain alive in our hearts and minds, and she's still our child; she's just an angel now.

I am still attending Christ Community Assembly of God church here in Nashvile.  I continue to work with the nursery each Sunday (and again on Wednesday); I love teaching the little ones about Jesus!  I get such satisfaction in mentoring their little minds and talking to their families!  And some of them have grown up so much!

On average, we have anywhere from twenty to forty kids in our class, and we have three to five workers helping out with them while their older sisters and brothers and parents are at "big-people's church".  It's a blast having the kids; they are so eager to please and are willing to learn new and exciting things!

I'm also seeing a new guy.  His name is Allen, and he is a licensed auto mechanic.  He makes very good money, and he works for Goodyear.  I've been seeing Allen for about a year now, and we've even been discussing the possibility of marriage in the future.  The children just love him, and I love him even more! :)

I just wish I could have had a man like him while Kaysa was alive!  My ex husband walked out on us when he discovered that Kaysa was sick; he didn't want anything to do with her. Broke my heart; I still cry when I think what he missed out on while his daughter was alive!

Well, Kenny wants to eat, so I will make him lunch.  He is home today from kindergarten because he has an earache.  I will write in here again with another update; until then, this is Kaylee Beausoleil saying so long and God bless!
