Charles Quigley is working again, but he isn't making nearly as much money. He updates us on what has been going on with him as well as his younger sister, who still lives in their native Australia.

G'day, mates and lasses!

Charles Quigley here.  Sorry if I haven't been writing on a regular basis; things have been crazy!!

I am happy to say I am employed again, but I am not making nearly as much dough as I did when I was working at the factory.  I am working at Home Depot, where I greet customers.  It's an okay job, but by day's end, me poor dogs are barking terribly, and it's all I can do to keep from falling over!  I am glad to be making money again; for a while, I was concerned that I might end up living on the street!

Meegin, me sister back in Darwin, Australia (me home base), is doing bloody fantastic!  She is back to her job and has fully recovered from her recent spell of health troubles.  We talk to each other every Saturday; Saturday is "Let's-Talk-To-Meegin-Day" (or vice-versa).  We catch up on our lives, and we end up missing each other terribly!  It is always great to hear her voice!

In the spring and summer months (which are quickly approaching as I write this down), I still plan on working for the lawn care company.  It will soon be my one-year anniversary at this job.  I am currently working two jobs (although one is seasonal); have to in this bloody, godawful economy!  Have to put petrol in me car (and that about wipes out my whole paycheck right there!) and pay me bills; when the bills are paid, I'm lucky if I have $40.00 to my name!

Needless to say, I don't go anywhere but to work or to the store if I need groceries.  I am not exactly what you would call "well-to-do"!

Sometimes, Meegin will send me a little money to help me out.  In addition, friends and members of several local churches will give me some money just so I can have something to put on the table or get what I need after I pay for the petrol and the bills.  It's really bad, that!

The hoons in Washington, D.C. certainly don't care about U.S., the "little people".  They are doing everything possible to screw up our country even more.  Don't GET me started on this; this is a family blog!!

I will say this much: I can't STAND the goon in the White House!  He's the worst!

And that's all I am gonna say about THAT noise!  ::rolling eyes::

Me parents are doing well, but I worry about them: they are both in their middle to later eighties, and I see evidence every day that their health is failing.  I don't like the thought of losing either Mum or Pop!  I love them so much; I would do everything possible to make them happy or at leasst comfortable!  Meegin would probably cry if she saw how grey Pop has gotten or the mere fact that Mum is walking slower and slower on her cane!

Well, I am gonna eat some brekky, then I am gonna shower and get ready for work.  I go in at nine.  I will write in here again; pray that things get better for me financially or that I find a better, more substantial job soon!  I'd greatly appreciate it!  Take care and God bless!

~Charles.  :(
