Dear Journal~
Howdy from Nashville, Tennessee! Louisiana writing; hope this finds y'all in fine fettle!
I am doing well; just busy working and taking care of our village LOL; seems a woman's work is never done (especially in my case)! In addition to that, I help out with the church (Angel Food, singing on the worship team twice a month, the women's ministry, and the greeters ministry), and I also do the adoption support group. It's a wonder I get any sleep at all; I'm runnin' around like a chicken with its head cut off!
I am happy to report that Bill is back at work; his broken tailbone is completely healed. He'd fallen several months back in our driveway. As you can see, it was a very bad fall. It's a wonder he didn't unhinge anything from his back surgery he'd had over two years ago. That would have been disasterous if that did happen!
The children are fine: shool and other obligations keep them busy. And the ones who have "flown the nest" continue to do well in their academic studies or their personal lives. For that I am eternally grateful. I pray for God's protection and provision on their lives every morning when I wake up and He's never backed down from His promises to my children!
Ronee', Dwerlina, and Melizza (as well as Dianne) are coming to see us for Easter. They've already left messages for me. I am so happy; I miss them so much when they're not here!
Johnathon is busy looking for "the perfect tux" for his upcoming wedding later this year. He is frustrated because he is so thin; most of the smallest tuxedos are way too big on him. I am sure he will find one that's just right. He wants one that is a bright blue; blue in any form looks really good on Johnathon; it's his color! Healthwise, he is doing as well as can be expected: no new issues with weakness, or with his heart/breathing, which is a huge answer to prayer! I pray that continues!
Rebekka, his wife-to-be, is busy looking for a gown; she is coming up for Easter as well. Maybe the two young lovebirds will find one while she is here (and vice versa, when it comes to Johnathon's tuxedo). They are also trying to figure out what the bridesmaids will wear, the kind of music, and the food will be presented during the celebration. I am sure the two of them will figure out something; Johnathon has always had an analytical mind: he is good at figuring things out.
Thu lost the baby she was carrying. A miscarriage. She was nearly three months pregnant when she started bleeding uncontrollably; she was rushed to the ER by her anxious husband, but alas, it was too late: the fetus couldn't be saved. A very hard time for all of us, but we know that God will get us through the grieving process. We have no idea whether it was a boy or a girl, but it was God's will not to have her carry the baby to term. Maybe down the road there will be another child for them. Lord, I hope so: they were really excited about this pregnancy, and so were we!
Thu and Anh live in Oklahoma. Both are attending college, where Anh is studying to become a pastor while his wife is studying to become a special education teacher to elementary children with special needs.
So there is a bit of sadness in our lives, as we now have another angel-baby in Heaven. We now have five angel-babies in Heaven: three of my own, a foster-daughter, and now Anh and Thu's little one. They are now with Jesus.
Well, I just heard the buzzer from the washer; that means another load is ready to go into the dryer. I will write in here again soon, probably around Easter time. Until then, this is Louisiana Sandusky saying so long; may God bless you always!
