Think of your body as a fish tank. Imagine your cells and organ systems like the fish, bathed in fluids including your blood which transports food and remove wastes. Then suppose I throw in a lot of food for the fish which are unable to consume or digest it all, so the food starts to decompose. Toxic acid wastes and chemicals build up as the food breaks down, making the water very acidic.
Before long the fish is very sick.
The same is true with the fluids in our systems. If it is more acidic for a long time, existing dormant bacteria in our system starts to grow and evolve into fungi, yeast, other kinds of germs and probably even cancer cells.
In one of the Natural Remedies meeting I attended sometime ago, a woman reported that her cancer was in remission and the only thing she did was drink a lot of filtered alkalinic water. This seem to have changed the fluid in her system and it appeared that the cancer cells de-evolve in to a harmless micro-form. What she did was changed the water in her "tank".
