Destiny Nicole Babbitt is my name.  I am sixteen years old and live in Hamburg, Germany, with my family.  (My daddy is in the Air Force.  Before coming to Germany, we lived in England, Finland, Africa, and Portugal.  So far, I like Germany the best.  I hope we stay here; Germany is beautiful and the people are so friendly!)

My daddy is a career Air Force man.  He is a sergeant.  Wherever he goes, we go right along with him.

I have brown hair that falls to just above my shoulders and blue eyes.  I am about five foot tall and weigh maybe 130 pounds.  I wish I were skinnier, but beggars can't be choosers, as they say. 

I'm also disabled.  Born with spina bifida; partially paralyzed from the waist on down.  I can walk, but I wear AFOs (ankle foot orthotics) on my legs and use two (Lofstrand, or forearm) crutches to propel myself wherever I need to go.  I'd rather not use the appliances, but I'm grateful that I can walk, even with help.  At least I'm not stuck in my wheelchair all the time; that'd be boring! (I have a wheelchair too, but I use that whenever I go to school or to places that require a lot of walking or on uneven terrain.  It's so much easier for me.)

Even with having a physical disability like SB, I have a very good life.  I sing in the choir every Sunday at church (I absolutely LOVE to sing!!), and I love to ride horses in the handicapped riders program every summer.  I also love to read anything I can get my grubby hands on, do cheerleading, dance, write stories or poems, collect Webkins, collect stams from foreign countries, make care packages for the troops at war, and try to drum up support for our Armed Forces.

I am a born again Christian.  I accepted Jesus Christ when I was ten, six years ago.  My life couldn't be better.  I have so much hope and joy inside I feel I have to share my faith with others!  Nothing thrille me more than to lead someone in The Sinner's Prayer and lead them to Jesus!  To me, that is beyond awesome!!

Another thing I like is learning new languages.  I can speak English, German, Finnish, some Swahili, French, Spanish, and Portugese.  I have an ear for languages.  It doesn't take me that long to pick it up.

I'd like to be a teacher for ESL students or at least an interpreter, when I grow up and go to college in a few years.  I think that would be cool!
