Chapter Three- A Cold Drive and A Warm Night

He got back from the small bathroom, a look of concern on his face and looked at her intently as he gave her a glass of water.

”Some aspirin," he said producing a small packet of  aspirin which he opened offering her both items.

“Can’t find the thermometer, must be in the truck. Take these, might be that you have a fever coming on. These might help keep it down.”

She nodded and he turned and went to the coat rack and started to put on his parka.

  “Have to get down the hill and put a hitch on your car before the snow buries it.
Just to pull it up a bit out of the ravine. If the snow layers on it that snow can get to be heavy, too heavy without bigger equipment. Be back in a hour."

With that he came over, looked at her, and took the water from her hand and took her hand rolling her finger tips between his thumb and fore-finger.

He grunted his satisfaction.

 And then moving to the door, he again grunted quietly to himself and looked out the side window finally saying;

“Have to get some more wood out of the wood bin, it looks to be a blower.

Finally, he turned toward her once more saying “Be back, you’ll be ok, be gone about an hour.” With that he was gone.

She lay back blinking gratefully to rest for a second; her mind feeling weary and worried.  She kept thinking, if he goes into her trucks glove compartment he’ll find out who she was and why she had come up the mountain in a threatened storm, and things could get difficult.

“No matter she thought he seemed to be a very nice man. She would deal with that trouble if and when it came.

 She day-dreamed bit relaxing her mind and finally started to look around the room. The small desk on the other side of  the room looked stark with just a computer and a few books.

He was writing.

She didn’t get up. She shimmied over to the desk-comforter still around her-and touched the computer keyboard.

A title came up immediately:

“The Whole Body Orgasm: Non-Sex Love Making For Newly Weds"
