Hello from the Buckeye State!

I hope it's cool where you are at; we're pretty warm (and it's only expected to get hotter by next week, with highs in the nineties to near 100 degrees).  Guess that means I will be spending a lot of time swimming!

My dumb brothers are really getting on my nerves, especially Kevin James, who, at three, is the baby.  He is so spoiled it isn't a bit funny: he has mommy and daddy wrapped around his chubby little finger and then some!  And Jacob Wyatt, who is six, isn't much better: he loves annoying me by making noises like an ape; it's really beginning to drive me crazy!!

If you ask me, if he keeps that up much longer, I'm gonna have mommy and daddy put him into the zoo, where he can hang around with "his own kind" and act like a monkey at any chance he can get!

We still have Ouchie, our cat.  He is a Maine Coon: a classic brown tabby with six-toed paws, long, silken, flowing fur, a bushy tail, and big, tall ears; he also has a very quiet meow for a cat of his size.  It's really funny to hear this little squeak coming from this giant-sized cat! 

Ouchie is very friendly, but he hates Kevin because Kevin has no clue how rough he is with the cat.  Kevin likes to pull his tail and make him hiss.  He also loves to kick him in the face.  It's no wonder Ouchie hates him.  I would hate him too if he did that to me (and he'd better not if he has another thing coming to him ...)!

Whenever Ouchie hears Kevin coming, he runs and hides for a good part of the day.  Don't blame him one bit!

Next month is the Richland County Fair.  Can't wait!  I go every year, but lately, the grandstand entertainment has sucked.  This year they have this group called the Red Ball Jets. Have never heard of them.  I remember mommy and daddy telling me that they used to have the big guns of country music come there to sing: Loretta Lynn, George Jones, Garth Brooks, etc. Now they get crap.  I am not happy with them!  Maybe this will be our last year in going.  If it were not for the rides, we wouldn't go; we'll go to the Ohio State Fair instead 'cause there you're bound to see some big name stars, not this lamo stuff!

Was right: just checked the Ohio State Fair website:  guess who's gonna be there?  Brad Paisley!  Ke$ha!  Trace Adkins!  Journey! And guess who else??  My favorite singer, Loretta Lynn!! She's gonna be there on August 2nd, along with the Oak Ridge Boys!!  I am gonna have to do some heavy duty begging (not to mention be on my best behavior!) to see if we can go see Loretta Lynn!!  I haven't seen her in concert, but boy, I sure wuold love to; that would be a dream come true !!

Well, gonna go; mommy wants me to do something.  I will write in here again; until later, this is Lavender Morgan saying so long!  Pray I get to see Loretta Lynn in concert! God bless!

P.S.: Just checked to see who the Red Ball Jets were.  They do old rock and roll.  Boring!  Give me Loretta Lynn any day! :/
