Howdy!  Medusa J. Jones writing!  Hope this finds y'all doin' well (not to mention, trying to keep cool; sure is powerful hot here in Texas ... and dry too!).  I am doing good; glad I have an inside job ...

I am still working at the bookstore; am enjoying making my own money and bein' able to pay the bills.  I'm also enjoying the fact that I can eat out with friends instead of digging out of Dumpters or garbage cans to get food.  I have my own place, a bed to sleep in, and now have my job.  It sure feels good to be contributing to society instead of hoping that people will help me when I put myself on the streets in the first darn place!

I am trying to make amends with my family.  So far, not much from them, but I am hoping and praying that God will soften their hearts and see that I truly have changed and am doing good for myelf.  I leave e-mails or call 'em, but so far, not even a peep from 'em.  Oh, well, ain't gonna give up:  hope springs eternal, as they say ...

Every day I wake up, I get into my prayer closet with my Bible and spend at least one half hour a day with God.  He talks to me; He whispers in my spirit, and He tells me what to do in order to better my relationship with Him.  He's told me some awesome, amazing things; I can't WAIT until the miracles start unfolding!  I have a feeling that my recent homelessness will be a thing of the past for good; I don't plan on going back!  Life is just startin' to get good; got too much going for me! :)

In addition, I pray to God each night when I retire to my bed.  I thank Him for getting me through another day and I also pray for relief for Texas: we are in the midst of an extreme drought and we are in desperate need of rain or cooler temps.  We haven't had a good decent rain since the middle of May; it's now August 4th: nearly three months!  People and animals are dying and the trees, plants, water areas are too.  It's really getting desperate here!

Other than working, trying to get a hold of my family, the drought, and my faith, there's not really much to report.  I have a rather boring life.  LOL  I will go now; am at work now as I write this; break time is about over.  I will write in here again soon; until then, this is Medusa Jones saying so long!  May God bless y'all real good!
