Hello!  How are you?  I hope things are well.

I am sorry for not writing in so long.  Have been very busy getting ready for secondary school, which starts back up in a few weeks; seems that this summer has flown by so fast!  I also got back from camping with my scout troop; had a very good time with my scouting buddies!

Today the weather is rainy, very nasty, out.  So I am stuck inside with Mother, Father, Grandmother Helga (yes, she is STILL alive!!), my sisters Anika and Kirstan, and my gubby baby brother, Oskar, who is only two ... and into everything!!  Lately he has started pulling the cat's tail, much to everyone's annoyance.  Mother keeps warning him that kitty will scratch him, but so far, he doesn't listen.

It makes me feel sad to see Gertie getting hurt.  I want to do the same thing to Oskar, but one problem: he doesn't have a tail! LOL

I am looking forward to the start of school again.  Seems funny for me to say that, but it's true .  I am getting bored hanging around the house (especially on these rainy, grey days), and I am ready to see my friends again!  I have always enjoyed school; I just hope I get a good teacher this year or don't have a lot of homework!!

Right now, the weather isn't too bad, but it won't be long before the temperatures start nosediving and in another month or two, the first snowflakes will be flying.  The northern lights have been busy; just about every clear night, you can see them dancing wildly in the sky, all colours.  So pretty, but they sure do mess up the phone or radio signals; sometimes they are so bad they knock the computer out of commission as well.  it's very annoying!!

Mother and Father both say if I do well this coming new school year, they might send me to America, so I can see my friend who lives in Illinois!  That would be so cool; I have always wanted to go to Ameirca and see the Statue of Liberty, New York City, and the Liberty Bell!

Well, Oskar looks like he's going to get into trouble again (he has that darned-if-you-do, darned-if-I-don't look in his eyes), so I'd best avert him before Mother gets mad again!  Besides, Grandmother Helga is sleeping; she probably doesn't want to be disturbed by noisy little boys!  Take care and God bless!
