Dear Journal~

Michael Doucet here.  I thought I would write in here to let you all know that Jenna Auorra, my wife, had our fourth child four days ago.  She had another boy (our third); little Taqaq Joshiah joins big sister Bella Michaela, who will be a year old in a few weeks, and big brothers Mattaq and Kenai, who are 5 1/2 and 3 1/2.  

I am happy to say that Jenna sailed through her C-section with flying colors.  No complications, which was a huge answer to prayer; her last few births were riddled with complications and we nearly lost her.  Jenna is in some pain, but IV meds take care of that; they make her sleep.  That's good: she needs her rest; might as well not disturb her.

Taqaq is beautiful: another mini-Jenna, but he has my bald head.  LOL  Not much hair on the kid at all.  LOL  He weighed in at 6 pounds, 7 ounces, and he came out with all ten toes and all ten fingers present: nothing was missing, thank goodness! :)

He's the biggest of our kids:  compared to the others, he looks like a giant; perhaps he will grow up to be a football player some day.  LOL  Nose tackle, maybe point guard or quarterback.  LOL  (Boomer Esiason and Jim Kelly, watch out! LOL)

Jenna will probably remain here at the hospital for about three more days; then maybe by Saturday or Sunday, the doctor will release her and then send her (and little Taqaq) home to join the rest of our family.  I do know that two little boys and a smaller girl are waiting to meet their new brother!  I just wonder what Tobias (our dog; he's a mutt) and Champagne and Chantilly (our cats) are going to do ... I will have to keep them out of Taqaq's room for a few weeks until they get used to having a brand new little human in the house!  (Taqaq will be sleeping in our room, where we both can keep a good, close eye on him.)

I have taken some time off from my job at the bar so I can be with Jenna and Taqaq.  I will get paid, so no worries there, but I feel it is my duty to be with my family to help them all adjust to the new baby that has come into our lives.  And in case Jenna should fall or run into any problems, I want to be there with her, as I know she will be weak and/or in pain from the surgery; it's going to take her a little while to fully get over it.

I will be sharing Taqaq's picture in a few days; right now I have seemed to have misplaced my camera.  Can't find it anywhere; it's starting to drive me insane!  LOL  Until then, I must tell you this: he is the cutest little boy this side of Heaven: he's GORGEOUS!!  I will write in here again soon, probably after we get settled in back home.  Until then, this is Michael saying so long and God bless!
