August 2011~

Dear Journal~

Howdy from Lafayette, Lousiana!  

Hope all is well with you!  Things are going well for me: between school, working, paying my bills, and spending time with Michael (my honey), and going to church, life is good.  God is really taking care of me and blessing my socks off!

I pray this continues.  Next week is my week for finals.  I pray I do well; I have really been studying hard! Then I'm off for two weeks; after that the fall quarter starts, and I will officially spend my last quarter as a freshman.  In January 2012, I will start my sophomore year.  I can't wait!  School is going so well; I love it!!

The weather here is hot, hot, HOT.  We really haven't had much rain; we've had some, but not nearly enough to bust this drought.  I am so ready for fall; fall is my favorite time of year (excepting for Hallowe'en, that is)!  Then comes winter ... AND my birthday and CHRISTMAS!!!!  Yay!!

On Christmas Day I will be turning 19 years old.  I can't believe it!  Seems like only yesterday when I was a little whiny brat-chlld; now I'm turning into a (semi) responsible young adult woman with forseeable plans for her future.  Some of my future plans include finishing school, getting married (hopefully to Michael Stinkowicz!), and starting a family.  I would like to have one or two kids (preferably one of each, unless God sees to it ... :) ); if I can't have them the natural way, Michael and I will probably adopt.

Maman and daddy adopted me when I was a little baby; I'd like to keep the cycle going, as a way to honor them and show my appreciation for what they did to me!  They gave me a life I would have probably never have had hadn't they stepped in!

Tonight at church, they're having a praise and worshp celebration.  I will be singing and ... oh, my gosh, church starts in less than a half hour! I had better grab something to eat, get dressed, and get to the church before Pastor Comeaux wonders what on earth happened to me!  Yarg!  I will write in here again soon; until later, this is Ronee' saying so long!
