You would think with the way the economy is now, pepple would be jumping at the chance to hire anyone who happens to walk off the streets.
Not so. At least, not for me.
I think it's because of the fact that I have been in jail several times: I have that as a permanent reminder on my record. It's like an ink stain you can't wash out, no matter how many times you've tried to wash the offending stain.
It's extremely frustrating. It's enough to make me want to start stealing again, but I don't want to ruin my reputation: I want to try to stay as clean as possible. I have had more than enough of "jail-time"!
"Seven-Fingers" here. Hope you are okay. I'm well, but not having any luck in finding gainful employment. If people do hire anyone, it's people who are younger than 30 years old, teenagers 18 or below, or worse, illegal immigrants who don't speak a lick of English (at least a good number of those are from Mexico or any country in Latin America). People who are disabled have a hard time finding gainful employment as well, but they at least have a better shot at landing a job than me 'cause I'm a petty criminal (or WAS).
I'm not gonna give up hope, especially since I have to report to my parole officer every week. Don't want to wreck my (so-far) clean record for "good behavior".
The weather is finally starting to cool down, which means I can spend more time littering the town with applications or resume's that I painstakingly typed up while in jail. But then people see that word "PRISON" (or "JAIL") on the resume' or app, and it's like "We don't need you or want you".

Just pray that I can get a job soon! I don't care WHAT the job is: as long as it's work, I wanna have the opportunity to use my hands and my fingers (all seven of them)! I am wanting and willing to work any hours, any day of the week, even holidays or weekends, if that is what the job requires. It's better than sitting at home, collecting dust, or worrying about upstanding bills! I would greatly appreciate any (and all) prayers!
