I don't know how other kids do it.

I mean, they are so bold when they approach a girl and talk to them as if they're their best friend or maybe a cousin, niece, or even their sister.

Whenever I approach a girl, the nervous nellies take hold of me and I am a nervous, sweaty mess!

I don't know what it is about girls, but just thinking of them is enough to make my heart start skipping beats.  I get breathless and I think I'm gonna pass out because I can't get a good breath in edgewise.  I start sweating bullets and whenever I go to speak, I sound like I have a severe speech problem.  It's awful!!

Like, for example, the other day at school.  This really good looking girl came up to me and all I could do was stand there and drool like an idiot as I stared at her.  She was excptionally beautiful: tall.  Thin.  Curves in all the right places.  Long, flowing dark hair.  Huge ice-blue eyes ringed with long, black lashes, as black as midnight.  A perfect, bow-shaped mouth.  High cheekbones.  A clear, heart-shaped face.  She was beautiful!

She came up to me because she wanted to say hi to me.

I am sure that the girl thinks I come from Planet Stupid or something.  I couldn't get my mouth to work right, no matter how hard I tried!  She eventually left me alone.  I am sure I scared her away.

This is how it is every time.  And it drives me insane!!

My friend, Pete, is a ladies man.  He's a natural.  I watch him interact with girls and I try to copy some of his moves but end up falling flat on my face.  It's absolutely mortifying!

In addition to having trouble talking to a girl, I just see them and the hormones go into hyperdrive.  I fall all over myself and drop things.  It's no wonder I get laughed at so much.  When it comes to girls, I'm a regular geekazoid!!

I am sure there are books out there about how to interact with girls.  Well, I am gonna get me an armful and bone up on what I find out and try to apply what I have read/learned.  I gotta find me a girl for the upcoming school dance which is in a few weeks; I hate being a wallflower all the time!
