My name is Devlin James Carder.  I am 13 years old: turned thirteen back in April, on April 14.  I live in Valdosta, Georgia, with my parents (Reed and Tanya) and my little sister, Zoe Jasmine, who is two.  

My brother, Ben, is 19 and he is currently in basic training; he joined up with the Marines.  No telling where he is going to go when he's done.

Zoe turned out to be a total surprise.  She was not really planned.  It just sort of ... happened.  It was like, "Whoops"!

I am in the seventh grade.  I go to Valdosta Middle School.  School is okay, I guess, but I can think of better things to do.  Only have been in school for the past few weeks, and I'm already wishing I was still on summer vacation!

In school, I take Math 7, Creative Writing/English, French, Physical Education, Science, History/Current Events, Art, and Music.  I'm writing this stoory for CW&E.

So far I seem to be doing pretty good.  We'll find that out when we get our report cards for the first semester sometime next month.  Then that will tell the whole truth.  

I am a typical teen boy: that is, I like to play video games, hang out with my friends, play sports (basketball, baseball, and football are my favorites; I also like to swim), watch "Modern Family" and "The Bachelor" on tv (in addition to those shows, I watch "Family Guy", "Beavis and Butthead", and "American Idol"; I watch AI just so I can make fun of some of the contestants and/or the songs they sing), and play hacky-sack.  I am a rather athletic kid: always have been.

My family isn't too bad, but I miss my big brother, especially since Zoe entered the picture.  Zoe is just a baby and is into everything!  She is extremely spoiled and sometimes she drives me crazy, especially when she has one of her tantrums or sasses me back whenever I tell her not to do something (which is a lot of the time).

Her middle name should have been "Trouble"!

The weather is pretty warm here, but the nights are cooling off nicely.  Shouldn't be long before the first real cool autumn air arrives; fall starts tomorrow, as a matter of fact.  Already the leaves are starting to turn and there are monarch butterflies all over.  I love fall; always have, always will!

I hope you enjoyed reading a little about myself.  I think I have a fairly interesting life, but I hate having to watch over my baby sister, especially when she is in a sassy mood!  I will write in here again another day; until then, this is Devlin saying so long!
