Bill here. Hope this finds you doing well.
Just got back from church. As always, it was a great service. Our services usually are. I am so blessed to have such a loving church family and a wonderful church to call home! (Have been attending Christ Community Assembly of God Church for over fifteen years now.)
We are well, but poor Johnny is about to pull his hair out. He and Rebekka, his wife to be, are putting the finishing touches, the last minute plans, for their wedding, which will be held in three weeks from Saturday, on the 16th. Everything is just about in order, but they are still working on getting a band together for the reception and some other minor odds and ends.
Other than that, Johnny is doing fantastic, as is Rebekka!
The whole family will be coming together to see Johnny and Rebekka getting married. Ronee', her fiance', Mike, and their friend, Britnee Rowlett, and Dwerlina will be coming in from Louisiana, Steffi and her fiance', Tank, will be coming in from Texas, and Richard will be coming in from Utah. Lightning and her family will be arriving from Colorado, and Rebekka's family will be coming from California and here in Tennessee. There will be over 400 people in attendance (and I think half will be related to us! LOL).
Where in the world are we going to put everybody????
Our yard is big, mind you, but it isn't THAT big!! LOL Guess that's why Johnny has decided to have the wedding at Centennial Park, at the party pavillion area. That way, everyone can come and have plenty of space! LOL
In addition to Johnny's wedding plans, our church is gearing up for their busy season too. We have the Harvest Festival, which will be held on Hallowe'en night, and on Thanksgiving Day and Veteran's Day, we will be feeding the homeless and the Veterans a free meal. Then we will do it all over again around Christmas. And that's NOT counting the upcoming Adult Christmas Cantata and the Children's Christmas Pageant, not to mention, our Christmas Eve and special Christmas Day services.
Plenty of action to keep all of us hopping for the rest of the year.
The weather was pretty today: sunny and highs in the middle sixties. Fall has definitely arrived here in middle Tennessee. The leaves are nearly at peak and the weather has been alternating between sun and storm.
Too wet to rake the leaves. Our yard looks like we have gotten a red carpet flecked with gold, yellow, purple, green, and orange! LOL
Louisiana has finally took some time off from work. She will go back on Wednesday; she will work the day shift, which means she will miss church on Wednesday night (she doesn't get off 'til seven and doesn't get home until eight, eight-thirty). She took a three hour nap after we got back from church while I and her parents entertained the kids still here at home. Luckily, for the most part, they managed to behave themselves.
Well, I am going to join Louie in the living room and watch some religious programming before we retire for the night. I will write in here again, probably after Johnny's wedding ... that is, IF I have time TO write, what with all the company coming! OY!!
