My sister D'Shanti Grace is something of a crybaby.  Seems that just about anything (or anyoone) can make her cry.

This is why we (and other kids) call D'Shanti "The Crying Girl".

First day of school.  A visit to the doctor's.  Getting a shot.  Seeing one of her very favorite performers in concert or getting to meet them in person.  A beautiful sunset or sunrise.  Pretty flowers.  Seeing her favorite aunt and uncle when they come for a visit from Alaska.  Seeing a newborn kitten or puppy.  These are but some of the things that have caused my sister to bust out into tears.

It's very embarrassing.  I should be more understanding; after all, D'Shanti is only a little girl of six.  I guess that is part of the nature of being a six-year-old, but it is hard explaining why my little sister is bawling her eyes out when there is absolutely no reason for her to cry in the first place!

The last time she turned on the waterworks was just a few days ago.  She hasd apparently seen this cute little shorthaired kitten and she felt that she had to have it.  NOW.  When mom told her that she couldn't have the kitten, poor D'Shanti cried as though someone had taken her favorite toy away from her.  There was no stopping her.  D'Shanti cried for hours.

It got past annoying to hear her bawling.  I was more than ready to throw a pillow at her or stuff a pair of my socks down her throat.  I don't know why D'Shanti has to get worked up over every little thing; it's no wonder she doesn't have many friends!

After all, who would want to be a friend to a child who cries all the time?  I know I wouldn't!!

I know that's mean to say, but dang, it's the truth! I just wish D'Shanti would get a grip and move on past her disappointment!  And I definitely wish that she would stop crying whenever good things happen!  I have never known a kid quite like her, but then you don't have to put up with her tears every day whereas I do!!

I just hope that by this time next year, D'Shanti will be totally different!  I can't stand seeing her blubbering all of the time!!  It is mortifying!
