Just when we thought we were doing alright disaster has suddenly struck ...

Jimmy, my husband, started his job last month after nearly a year of searching.  He was doing great, but then, yesterday, while working, he fell off a forklift and can now hardly walk.  We don't know what is going on, but when I get off work myself, I am taking him straight to the Emergency Room.

He can barely move  He is in incredible pain.  It hurts me to see him suffering so and there is really I can't do to help him.

The kids are going to have to face facts: they might not even have a Christmas this year because of what happened to their daddy.  Their daddy's health comes first; everything else (including Christmas) is going to have to be put upon the back burner until we know more as to what is giong on with Jimmy's legs (and God knows what else).  For all I know he could have a broken leg (or legs), but there is no way of knowing until tests are done.

Mommy (Jimmy's mom) is at the house now with the kids (and Jimmy), entertaining them and trying to take their mind off their poor injured father while I try to finish this contract before the start of next week (Monday).  The boss has told me and my co-workers if we don't get it done, we might have to work on Thanksgiiving Day; we are doing everything possible to meet the deadline.  So it is a very stressful time on all our parts.

We will put up the Christmas tree, but there probably won't be any presents unless a miracle occurs; right now, with the way things look like now with Jimmy's injury, and my work situation, I just don't see it happening.

I don't know when I will be home from work tonight, but I just had to write in here during my break to let you know what is going on.  Just do me a favor: pray that something can be done so we can meet this deadline before  Monday, but especially pray for Jimmy.  I and the children (not to mention, his Mommy) are all terribly worried about him!  Thank you in advance!  And also: pray we can have a Christmas; no child doesn't deserve not having any presents come Christmas morning!!
