My name is Amity Pink Stolfus.  I live in Reading, Pennsylvania, with my family (my mom and dad, and my little brother, Reed Henrich, who is ten).  I am in the 11th grade at Reading Senior High School.

Most of my friends call me "Pink".  I absolutely loathe my first name!  I also have pink hair and wear a lot of pink, so there you go.  My mom likes the color pink, so this is how I was named.  Not hard to figure out ...

I have a cat named "Stinker".  "Stinker" is a typical tabby: nothing really remarkable about him, excepting to say he is always full of mischief!  I did have a dog, a springer spaniel named "Dippity", but she died last year of distemper.  It was a really bad time; "Dippy" really suffered.  I miss her so much!!

My best friend's name is Morgan Crandall.  She is in several of my classes at school and we often eat lunch together in the cafeteria.  When I don't see her at school, I see her just about every day or on the weekends: seems that we're always together.  We are so close we are almost like sisters!

I like to say that Morgan is the sister I always wanted but never had. :)

I like to do many things: swim and boogie board in the summer (I also surf whenever we go to the Atlantic Ocean on summer holiday), ice skate and go tobagganing in the winter (I also snow ski), dance, sing, read, write poems or stories, go shopping at the mall, and play on the Internet.  I don't go to church: I'm not really a believer.  I do know something IS out there, but what, I don't know.  That makes me an agnostic.  I do know there is a God, but I don't go past that. 

I'm a Democrat.  My parents are Democrat, and so that makes me have Democratic leanings.  I happen to like our current president; a lot of people don't and it really makes me crazy when people say mean things about him.  He's just trying to undo what Bush and the Republicans messed up; he's only human, just like the rest of us.  If I were old enough to vote, I'd vote for him in a heartbeat.  I think President Barack H. Obama is cool!

He spoke to our school earlier this year and it was a really big deal.  He made quite an impression on me and I got to meet him afterwards and had my picture taken with him! Boy, was I ever excited!!

I have the picture hanging up above my bed in my bedroom.  Obama even signed my picture, so you know that's gonna be worth some serious money if I ever decide to sell it (and I'm not planning to!).
