Shifty here.  Hope it's drier and nicer where y'all are at.  Here the weather is just. Plain.  NASTY!!  Rainy, cold, windy, threat of thunder ... very miserable, not to mention, hard on the ol' joints!

I am in so much pain I think I might go mad!!  Too bad I don't have any pain pills or at least somethin' over the counter, like Tylenol or Mortin or something!!  It is very difficult for me to walk today on my crutches: even they ain't helpin' much.

I am at the shelter with a good bunch of other homeless folk who all had the same idea as me: staying dry and out of the weather.  At least they have stuff to do here: cards, games, books to read, even food for us to eat.  It (the food) smells downright heavenly; think I might dig in to some hot chili and some mashed potatoes! Yeah, that sound about right .... I am so hungry my stomach thinks my throat has been cut ....

New Year's was okay, but I got drunk New Year's Eve (friend offered me some beer; like a fool I drunk more than I should have); had the hangover from hell!  I was so sick and miserable I wanted to DIE!!  Oh, it was bad!!

Then the shitty-assed Cowgirls lost; they played horribly.  They had a bad season.  Seems they have had a few years of bad luck ever since Jerry Jones took over and Jimmie Johnson left as coach.  The coaches they have had since have been nothing but dumbasses and the owner don't care for anybody but himself and his stupid money!!  I hate Jerry Jones, and I am beginning to hate the Dallas Cowgirls even more!! They disgust me!!

At least I have a backup team: the New Orleans Saints.  They handily routed their competition on Sunday (the Detroit Lions); they play the San Francisco Giants next (I THINK).  I am hoping the Saints can do it again; if they win several more games then they go to the Super Bowl! (Let's make it two in a row, Saints!!)

At least the Denver Broncos knocked Pittsburgh (the Steelers) out of it; the Steelers have won far too many times anyway (soemthing like 8 times they've won the Super Bowl??); give someone else a chance for gridiron glory (like the Saints, again, for once!! :) )!!

Saturday night, one of my friends (Hoss) got struck by a speeding car; he was badly hurt.  I saw him get hit; the damn driver then kept on going!  I was so mad I wanted to chase the suspect down and beat the holy crap out of him with my sticks for doing this to my friend!  Hoss is currently in an area hospital, in critical condition in an ICU room; they don't know whether he is gonna make it or not.  All I know is this: he has numerous busted bones, contusions, lacerations, and shit, and they got him knocked out and on a ventilator to help him breathe.  He is in a bad way.

And then yesterday I want to go to church to pray for Hoss and they chased me out.  They didn't want me stinkin' up their holy sanctuary, so I done left and sat on a bench up a ways and bawled my eyes out (mostly for my friend).  I tell you: they need to stop judging me because I happen to be homeless!! If I could find a place to purty up and get gussied up, I would, but I don't have a car and I don't have any soap, body wash, or soap on my person!  What you see is what you get!!

It's just been an all-out crappy weekend. 

I'm ready to find a cave somewhere nd hibernate 'til spring! I am more than ready for this bad crap to stop happening, and I am more than ready to find a good job to where I can get off these mean streets and make something of myself! That ain't too much to ask for!!  I mean, REALLY!!

Well, I've bummed myself out, so I will lie down and sleep. Ain't worth goin' out in the cold/rain anyway and possibly getting sick: thet'd be the LAST thing I'd need right now!
