Hi! This is Ronee' again. I haven't written in a while, and I am sorry if I haven't; but lately I have been very sick; and it really took a lot out of me.
I was in the hospital for 9 days, and I am still NOT QUITE over my last illness. I had another danged flare; and I am STILL a bit sore in my joints (but then, that is nothing new; but I still don't feel like myself). And, to top it all off, on Hallowe'en night, at the Hallowe'en party, I had a sudden asthma attack, the first one in quite a long while. It was bad enough to send me to the emergency room; but I got to go home the next day; still, it wrecked the party, and I felt like everyone was mad at me because the party was cut short. I felt like it was my fault. (At the Hallowe'en party, I was dressed up as a scarecrow; and I think there was something in the straw that bothered me. I don't know, but I still had an asthma attack, the first one in quite a long while.)
So far, since then, I have been doing okay, but I have been feeling sad; I don't know why, but I have not been feeling happy lately.
And "Sayidana", my friend's cheetah, died on October 20; she was just 5 years old; and I miss her so much. I miss her purrs, and I miss hugging her. I always enjoyed going to Ron's house, just so's I could pet "Sayidana". Now she's gone, and I will never forget her! (She got a kidney infection of some kind, and she died a week later.)
My family life is okay, but my health bites. I am so tired of feeling pain or feeling tired all of the time; I wonder if I have been bitten by a tsetse fly or something; it seems like I am SO tired and sleepy all of the time!....
Gotta' go; don't feel like writing anymore. 'Bye!
~Ronee' Le-Anne (aged 9 1/2; will be 10 next month!)~

Dear Karen,
This was so touching and real. I loved it and felt so sad at the same time. We don't count our blessings nearly enough...A kid who is limited by illness is one of life's saddest things-- yet they always seem to show more bravery than most adults I know. Amazing. This is great and congrats on your copyright. I hope, as someone else said, these stories are combined into a book.
Hugs and Peace to you,
Ellen
P.S.- the straw triggering the asthma and Ronee blaming herself really got to me.
This is a good piece Karen, keep up the great writting, have you thought of combining these stories to make a book? Keep up the great writting, and may the Lord bless you richly!
In Christs Love

okay, i know i shouldn't be rating this, but it's the first story i've done about ronee' in a while (at least a month!). i think i did a good job; it is brief, and it is to the point; and it shows just what my little character has been doing in her life!
