In order to be humble we must be totally dependent on the Lord. We must seek His will before we make any decision.  True humility is building our life around God and being selfless towards others.

Humble actions:

Praying and fasting

An attitude of gratitude

Serving others graciously

Forgiving others and allowing others to forgive you

Giving others sincere praise and thanks

Volunteering in areas where the needs are the greatest

Praising and thanking the Lord for all things

The following are some questions about humility that both mentor and mentee can share:

Do you bless those that curse you? If so, give an example of the last time you did this. If not, what could you have done better to improve your relationship?

Are you a good listener? Do you wait before you jump in a conversation and give your opinion? If so, explain a recent conversation where you can site at least one good example. If not, what could you have done to be more attentive?

When someone else receives an award that you felt you deserved how do you conduct yourself? If you felt positive, how did you develop this trait? If you felt negative, what can you do to change this negative conduct?

Do you give other friends the impression that you have no problems? If you do, how can this damper a relationship? How can sharing problems with a friend help to strengthen a friendship?

 If another person makes a mistake are you quick to provide correction?  How do you want to be treated when you make errors? Share some examples with your mentor/mentee.
