Dear Journal~

Slobo Trbanek here.  Hope this finds all of you well and happy.  As for me, life couldn't be any better ...

I am currently lying here in bed, playing on my laptop, and listening to my darling bride of two months snoring gently as she lies next to me.  I am taken in by her beauty: she reminds me of a small, soft sleeping angel ... she is truly beautiful!

I can't believe that I am married now.  It seems like a dream come true .  It has been a wonderful two months!  God truly has blessed me by bringing Ivanka Petrovich into my life!!

My mamma is doing well, too: she's retired now and enjoying it.  Nothing pleases her more than spoiling me and puttering around the house.  She says houswork keeps her young.  :) She's always loved cleaning, doing laundry, or straightening up.  Mamma is also a fantastic cook: she cooks the old-fashioned way and is always trying to put some meat on my skinny self.  :)

I am currently using my wheelchair.  My prosthetic legs are in the shop getitng repaired.  I fell around Christmas (just after the wedding) and cracked one of the prosthetics, so I have to use my chair until my legs are fixed.  So right now, I, Slobo Trbanek, don't have any legs.  It's been interesting .... I pray my legs are ready soon; I miss walking ....

Other than that, life has been great.  Church, Ivanka, work, my family and friends ... I am truly blesed by God!

And let's not forget my new little second cousin, William Slobo Cartier.  He was born at about the same time Ivanka and myself got married and he is a cutie pie!  Fattest cheeks I have ever seen on a baby: he reminds me of a little Buddha!  LOL  So stinkin' cute, as Ivanka is fond of saying.  If she sees something that she thinks is cute, she'll take in a sharp intake of breath, clasp her hands together, and say, "O, that is so stinkin' cute!"  LOL  

Josefina makes a good little mamma!  She truly loves him.  I can see why.  William Slobo is very easy to love!  Such a good little boy!

The weather here has been off and on: rainy (or snowy) some days, on others, beautiful, wall-to-wall sunshine.  We may get snow tomorrow; in fact, just northeast of us there's a winter storm watch and we could get snow showers tomorrow here in the Nashville metro area, with highs in the thirties and forties.  A little cold; I am more than ready for spring to come!!  Right now, though, it's raining: I can hear it hitting the windows and roof, and the wind is blowing, too.

I am sick of the cold and snow already!  It's been a very cold and snowy winter here!!

Well, I am getting sleepy again, so I think I'll put my laptop up after I shut it off and go back to sleep myself.  Sleep suddenly sounds like a great idea ... until later, this is Slobo Trbanek saying so long; may God bless you as much as He's been blessing me!  Take care!
