Now that Creighton Eriq has fallen asleep for his afternoon nap, I can write in here, to let you know what has been going on with us, the Richard family, of Lake Charles, Louisiana.
Our oldest child, Amerycal Grace, who will be eight on July 4th of this year, is walking by herself on a pair of magenta-colored crutches attached to her forearms. She doesn't let falls stop her: she is enjoying this huge step in her independence; we couldn't be prouder of her!
We also have a little boy. He was born just this past December. His name is Creighton Eriq; he was born perfectly healthy. Amerycal absolutely adores her baby brother. She enjoys helping us, her Mommy and Daddy, with diapering him and dressing/undressing him, helping him with his bath, helping with the feeding, and loves singing lullabies to him, to help him fall asleep faster. Amerycal is an excellent big sister!
This is Morgan Grace Richard writing. I trust and hope this finds y'all well. We are doing great; life coulnd't be better! We are truly thankful that God allowed us to have another child. While little Creighton will never replace Tanner Eric, our second child (or would have been had he lived; Tanner was stillborn), he has, on the other hand, taken away some of the void that Tanner's death left upon our hearts. He is a very good baby: Creighton hardly cries and is very easy to care for.
It seems funny that just two years ago we were grieving the loss of our son. Now we have reason to celebrate: we have two children: a seven-and-a-half-year-old daughter and a two and a half month old son who are the lights of our lives. God has truly been good to us! We cannot thank God enough for all the blessings that He's given to our family!
Well, I am going to see if I can scare up something for Amerycal, Eric, and myself while Creighton sleeps. I will then feed Creighton later on tonight; he'll probably be good and hungry by then. I will write in here again soon with another update. Until then, this is Morgan Richard saying so long! I'll talk to y'all another time!
