Oklahoma City, Oklahoma~

Wish I could say we are doing well, but at the moment we are in hiding.  Dangerous weather is traversing through our area and we are holed up in our safe room: me, my wife, Thu, and our beautiful baby girl, Bella Thu Grace, who is currently sleeping through the whole event.

We could have more action tomorrow and it could be even worse than today's storms if you can believe that.  All I ask is this: please pray for our safety and pray that the storms don't get too nasty.   Thu (and myself) would greatly appreciate it!

Bella is now almost five months old, growing into a gorgeous peanut of a child.  She looks so much like my wife it is unreal: it's almost like envisioning Thu as a small child.  She is smiling and cooing and laughing; her sounds are like music to our ears!  Bella is perfectly healthy, which has been an answer to our prayers.  We are definitely a family and Thu and I both thank God every day for our little baby girl.

I am doing very well.  I did have a month of chemo several months back due to some precancerous cells in my lymph nodes, but at my last check up (last week; I have them every month), it appears that all the cancerous cells have vanished.  I am to still continue the treatments up for at least a few more months, just to be on the safe side.  The chemo treatments make me weak and tired, but no real serious problems.  I have them twice a week at the local cancer center at Oklahoma Methodist Hospital.

Thu, Bella, and  myself were recently home (last week, in fact) for a few days; we drove to Tennessee, where we spent Easter weekend with our family (my parents and my brothers and sisters).  It was great seeing everybody again and we all laughed and had a marvelous time.  We went to special Easter services at Christ Community Assembly of God (my home church in Tennessee) and it was great to see all my church family and friends.  

They had their Easter time Cantata and it was powerful.  Over 50 people committed their lives to Christ and my sister, Ronee', who is going to be 19 in December, sang "The Old Rugged Cross" while my brother, Johnathon, also fixin' to be 19, signed for the deaf/hard of hearing members of the church.  He did a great job as always.  

The weather in Tennessee was much nicer (and calmer) than it is here at the current time.  Temps in the fifties and sixties and seventies with partly cloudy (to mostly sunny) conditions.  Here we are currently under severe thunderstorm warnings and our whole area is under a tornado watch for at least three more hours.  Still some pretty nasty storms about.

Tomorrow could be even more interesting, according to the SPC (Storm Prediction Center) in Norman: our area is under a HIGH risk for severe weather, including the possibility of violent, long-lived tornadoes, very large hail (also called "gorilla hail"), damaging winds in exceess of 60-70 miles per hour, and extremely heavy rainfall that could lead to flash flooding.  

Lovely.  NOT!

Well, the lights just flickered, and I hear the wind starting to pick up again.  I am sure the sirens must be going off again as well, which means more weather is moving in.  I will get off of here and write another time.  Just pray that we come through this stormy time in one piece and pray that we don't suffer any damage from the storms!  I (and Thu) would greatly appreciate it, especially since we have a baby girl to worry about!  Thanks in advance!
