Howdy from Grand Prairie, Texas!

This is your friend, Burkeley Dawne' Rhodes, writing!  I hope this finds y'all well and happy!

We have only a few weeks of school left before summer vacation; frankly, I cannot WAIT!! Our last day of school is on May 15; then starts summer vacation until the last week of August!

I plan on havin' fun this summer: swimming, hanging out with Hadassah Rose Kleinfelder, my best friend in the whole wide world, going to Lafayette to see my aunt and uncle, hanging out with Grandma Louie when she comes to babysit, and of course, dance and sing!

Mama and Daddy have both told me that if I get a good report card and do well on my final tests, they have something special in the works for me.  They won't tell me what it is, but mmm, boy, I sure am itchin' to find out exactly what it is!  Maybe it's a trip to Six Flags over Texas in Arlington; I haven't been there in ages!

Or maybe they got me a gig at the Grapevine Opry in Grapevine or any of the other local Opry shows that can be found 'round here.  It may not be the big one (the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville, Tennessee), but hey: an Opry is an Opry, and to sing on one would be a big dream come true for this little country gal!!

I am sooo glad it's Friday: tomorrow starts the weekend, and I can sleep in 'til 11 or noon if I want. (Wish I could do the same on Sunday, but nothin' doing: we have church!)  I can do whatever I want and hope that Bryson or Brodie (my little brothers; they're six and two, remember) don't bug me to pieces!

Well, class is fixin' to end (next one is Math, ew, ew, EW!!), so I'll put this to bed.  I will write again another day.  Until then, this is Burkeley Rhodes sayin' so long!  Take care, and may God bless y'all really good!
