Reading the Bible sure changes ones perception. I had no idea that the barbaric Romans in biblical times were Pagan Masters! They hung thousands upon thousands of people upon hillside crosses in crucifixions just to reign terror over the Jewish people. I had always thought and believed that Paganism is about blessedness and philosophies to respecting the circle of life in nature. It’s no wonder people have construe d Pagans are heathens.
at our church there is a missionary that came to speak, she is from my area, and she just returned from building churches in Africa. But also she built a safeway house for the sex slaved young children. It is so disgusting that there is such wicked as this. She was there for a long stay of 6 years I think. She is now in another part of the world building more safe houses for mothers and girls to find safe haven from this underworld of sexual degradation and manipulation. I must say despite all the beauty here in this world, the more I know about others and their situations of reality the more I look forward to leaving this world. People are so cruel to each other. These children must be in horror while the scumb of satan reins it's ruin over them.
And too like you said here in the states we have come a long way. Ignorance will eventually be put to death everywhere.
No doubt what Rome did was terrible. But did we learn years later when others were slain for their beliefs? The things that are going on in Africa today are no better. People being killed for their belief in Christ. One thing about our past we must ask ourselves. Did we learn from this dark past? Just like slavery, the US has a dark past but I think the US has come a long, long way. But then how about the rest of the world? Look what is happening to children in Thailand and other countries in SE Asia. These kids are sex slaves. I cannot even imagine anyone wanting to hurt an innocent child. God will be the judge in the end. But our species can rise above if we follow the Bible and just one command from Jesus, "Love one another!" For if we truly love one another it would be impossible to truly hurt them for no good reason. Amen
