I love this walk with Jesus Christ, I am so excited each day in cultivating & nourishing the Lord’s Spirit within me. I feel like a dry sponge soaking up as much as I can learn as possible to be the best me I can be & nail all my unwantedness to the cross!! Go GOD!!
The power of the Holy Ghost within each of us is so ultimately amazing. It’s so awesome that we all can practice each day in our walk with the Lord, and to put the 9 fruits of the Spirit forth and cultivate each and every one!
The other day, I was sowing really intently with “Peace” by paying very close attention to subtle complaining. I am not a pessimist, or even a complaining personality by nature, so I wanted to pay attention to any overlooked complaints that I do. For example impatience (example: this is a long line of traffic-gee), feeling frustrated (example: the money is not in the bank yet), or just any other negative attribute in my daily living that spurs a complaint (example: my dogs like to rub in coyote dung) that’s not fun to clean up & smells atrocious!! lol
My whole day was amazing (as it usually is-Thank You Lord!!), and awesome, while nurturing and cultivating the Spiritual Fruits of Peace. Then when my evening snack time came, while I was making my veggie smoothie, with my additive of liquid chlorophyll, (looks like dark green dye) I didn’t place my apples inside my Ninja blender correctly. I was unable to close the lid to blend everything. I don’t like to waste anything, so I was being careful in rearranging my apples to not upset the added chlorophyll. Then BAM! I spilled the whole thing! And for a split second, maybe 3 seconds I gave a sign of complaining-(frustration) lol …But then I grabbed it back.
I know this is a very tedious example, but what I learned in that very moment was this: It is soooo EASY to complain! It felt like a reflex even. But each of us can “choose” NOT to complain. Besides we are all God’s children, and he does not like when we complain about anything, even the small petty stuff. He says: “Life is messy-Clean it up” and I did, while trying to keep my 4 dogs out of it, as it went on the floor too. lol
If you have children imagine how you would feel if your child was a complainer, or if your child felt frustrated. You would help them see another avenue to maintain their inner peace. In the same retribute we are God’s children, and he sees us as his children.
Today I will practice my cultivations in more “Fruits of Self-Control.” It feels so amazing to reap what is sown!! And it is not as easy as it seems it might be, check it out for yourself.
The Fruits Of Self-Control are paying attention to what comes out of our mouth, and our reactions to unsavory situations. Don’t let people walk all over you, but know how to handle yourself in the favors of the Lord to reap your bountiful blessings.
It’s really simple to say “I want more Joy in my life” and then not cultivate it by complaining about “things” or by any number of negative emotions that may arise in a situation.
"But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self control."
(Galatians 5:22)
