Dear Journal~
Ronee' here. I'm afraid I'm not in a very good mood today. I saw who won the election and ever since, I have been in a deep blue funk. Even Michael, my husband, knows I'm in a mood, so he knows best to stay out of my way.
I've already had a few people egg me about the results and it is all I can do to keep from wanting to strike out or say something I might regret later, so I'm just keeping to myself and keeping mum about the whole thing; however, inside, I am seething mad.
Four more years of HIM. UGH!! I know one is supposed to pray for our president and our leaders, but to tell you the truth, HE makes me sick. It is NOT his color (it has nothing to do with that!!); it's his policies that have me worried. Like the health care thing. Yes, I know everyone needs health care, but I don't think a person should be forced into getting it, especially when they cannot afford it. Or the gay marriage and abortion thing. That totally goes against what I believe in and I think it is WRONG!!!
Yet like a good Christian, I do pray for the president and his staff. I ask God to bless them all and to let them realize what they are doing. Now we need to pray for them (and our country as a whole) more than ever!
I will be glad when this is over, but then when I get on my Facebook, it will be all about the election and I'm just not ready to deal with that right now. My hide button will be my best friend right now because quite a few of my friends on Facebook did vote for Obama, and they know I supported Romney. They made digs at me about it, but I'm not that immature. I just keep my feelings to myself and post it on my private journal, where nobody but me can see it (or a few close friends that I trust). Better to do that than get into a fight and get into major trouble later on.
Just keep our nation as a whole in your prayers; we need God (and prayer) now more than ever!! Thank you!
~Love, your friend, Ronee' Le-Anne. :(
