Nashville, Tennessee,  November 8, 2012 (post-election), 11:45 p.m., C.S.T.~

Dear Journal~

Johnathon Sandusky here.  I am sitting here at the doctor's office, waiting to be called back (just a normal checkup; no biggie!).  My darling wife, Rebekka, is with me, as is our caregiver.  It's busy; the waiting room is full, so I have a feeling we'll be here for a little while.  My appointment is supposed to be at 12:15.  Hope I make it in time!

Then after the doctor's, we are going to go out to lunch; we're going to eat at Shoney's.  It's been a while since we've been there; it will be good to get out and eat someplace.

Well, the election is over; the one we wanted lost.  Obama has been re elected for a second term.  We'll see what he does, but frankly, I'm not a big fan of the man.  It has nothing to do with his color; it's his policies that seem very skewered, and I don't like how he does things.  We'll see what happens; time will only tell .... but it seems that I fear for our country now more than ever ....

A lot of people are up in arms about it.  They are demanding the ballots be re counted and people are saying that the election itself was flawed.  People want answers.  I don't blame them for getting upset, but getting sick over the whole thing or blaming others certianly isn't gonna do a lot of good.  It seems as if we have become more divided than ever, and it truly saddens me.  Whatever happened to the meaning of the word "united"??

The weather here is gorgeous: pristine blue skies with nary a cloud, wall-to-wall sunshine; and the trees are just past the peak.  They are losing their vibrancy; they're not as spectacular as they were a few weeks ago.  Still, they are quite pretty to look at.  The days are getting shorter and the days are mostly mild with chilly to cold nights; we've already had a few nights of frost.

Well, sorry to cut this short, but they've called me in.  Good; I am going in earlier than expected.  We'll see how I'm doing; hopefully I am doing well.  Pray for a good report from Dr. Emmons; I'd appreciate any and all prayers! Thanks in advance!
