I wish we could figure out what is going on with Beckah ...

Beckah Lynn is seven years old but acts more like two (or even younger).  She is globally delayed, meaning she has severe problems with her development.  She cannot walk or talk.  She has seizures.  It looks like she has cerebral palsy, but neurologists say that the results for the disorder have been "inclusive".  Something else must be going on with her.

Which leads us back to step one.  Trying to figure out what is going on with her.  It's extremely frustrating.

My name is Corinthe Dalhardt.  I and my husband of 11 years, Charles, live near Ponca City, Oklahoma.  We have two children: Beckah (7) and Brentley Charles, who, at three, is perfectly healthy, which has been an answer to our prayers.  Having one severely disabled child is hard enough; we couldn't imagine what it would be like to have two.

My husband is a lab technician at a local hospital; meanwhile, I stay home with the children and care for them.  It isn't easy because Brentley is such an active little boy, and then I have to take care of Beckah's needs, especially when she has a seizure or ends up in the hospital again (for whatever reason it may be).

We have been to many different hospitals, seeking many different doctors, to see if they have an answer about why Beckah is the way she is, but unfortunately, no answers have been given.  So we are relegated to try yet again; frankly, I am more than ready to give up any hope because it seems that they don't even want to help us.

I don't know what is going to happen to Beckah, but one thing is certain: the possibility of having her placed into a home for children with severe special needs is starting to look more and more like an option for us.

Just keep us in your prayers; we could all use a miracle about now!  Thanks in advance!
