Dear Journal~
Louisiana Sandusky here. Hope this finds y'all well and happy.
We are getting the house ready for the invasion. The invasion of kids and grandkids; it's gonna be a very full house! Ronee' and Michael, Anh Kim and Thu (and little Bella), Richard, Barbara, Johnathon and Rebekka, Starlight, et. al, will be arriving home within a day or two (or even three) to spend Thanksgiving with us.
And in three days, our two youngest (birth) children, Ian Charles and Isaiah Cameron, will be turning five years old. Five years old. Who would have ever thought?? Seems like only yesterday they were in diapers or stringing their first words together and taking their first steps. Now the boys are in preschool and are as smart as the dickens!
They have grown so much: both are going to take after Daddy Bill. At the age of five, they look more like eight year olds. The doctor says they are both going to be well over 6' by the time they reach teenhood. In fact, there's a possibility they could both hit the 7' mark! WOW!!
We are going to have their fifth birthday party on Thursday when we go to Golden Corral to celebrate Thanksgiving. The Golden Corral is gonna be rocking anyway; we are only going to add to the fun: a party of nearly 100 people! Whee!! LOL
Let someone else do the cooking. I haven't cooked a Thanksgiving meal since I don't know when. LOL
Then come Friday we are going to take the kids to see Santa and continue our Christmas shopping. I started back in August; still have some gifts to get yet. I'll be done well before anybody even completes theirs. With a family our size, we need to get started on our shopping as early as possible, but I still take the kids to see Santa.
Well, someone just fell and I hear someone howling in the hall. I think it was Camille. I hope she's okay. I will have to go; until later, take care, and Happy Thanksgiving to one and all! May it be full of friends, food, fun, and blessings!
