I can't believe that such an awful thing has happened.

Someone stole our presents that Mom and Dad had gotten us for Christmas.  They also stole our Christmas tree.

The police have been over several times, asking questions, and trying to figure out who the thief (or thieves) are.  Mom and Dad are understandably devastated, and I am very angry.

Who would do such a horrible deed?  They either must have been desperate (or extremely stupid).  Mom refuses to come out of her room (or get out of bed); as for Dad, all he does is sit in the livingroom and weep like a little child.  And I am left having to watch over my little brothers and try to explain to them why we no longer have a Christmas tree or why there are no presents.

I am trying to keep the faith, but it's getting harder and harder.  To see the bare spot in our livingroom is more than my heart (or the hearts of my family members) can possibly bear.

Just keep us in your prayers; pray that whoever did this is caught and punished.  Also pray that we have a Christmas this year; right now things are not looking very bright.
