We have two floppy Ragdoll cats who have made our world all the more interesting.  It's gotten to the point where we cannot imagine our lives without these two frisky felines.

We adopted Flotsum (also known as Flopsum by my teenage daughter) and Jetsum six months ago from a no-kill animal shelter; we rescued them and our lives have been for the better because of them.  They are both roughly around nine months of age; they still have plenty of kitten inside of their furry little bodies and provide us with hours of non-stop entertainment.

Flotsum, our female, is a chocolate point Ragdoll: cream colored fur with dark chocolate-colored "points", or markings, on her ears, face, and tail; the ends of her paws are milk white and her tail is very furry.  Her eyes are sapphire-blue; she is gorgeous!

As for her brother, "Jetsum", he is a cream-colored Ragdoll: very light fur with slightly darker "points" on the ears, tail, and face, and like his sister, has four milk-white paws.  His eyes are lighter blue in color but no less stunning.

Both Flotsum and Jetsum are people-oriented: they love people; they don't know a stranger.  Anybody who comes over is a potential friend, even if they don't like cats or not.

My husband has, as a rule, never been a cat person, but I "purr"sonally think that the cats have won him over.  More than once I have caught him scratching the cats behind their ears or stroking their long, silken fur, smiling bemusedly, eyes twinkling.  This pleases me because I have been a cat lover all my life.  It has been a dream of mine to see Chas be won over by a cat.  Well, he has been won over by not one, but two cats.

The children love Flotsum and Jetsum.  They take great pride in taking care of them by changing their litter every other day, feeding and watering them every day, playing with them, or brushing them once a week.  The kitties have become their best friends and they would do anything to make their little furry friends happy and comfortable.

I do hope that we have our kitties for a long time to come.  They are the best possible thing that could have ever happened to us as a family!
