Howie Bennett here. I hope this finds you all well. Other than freezing our tails off, we are trying our best to keep warm.
It is extremely cold (not to mention, snowy) out, so the whole family is gathered in the livingroom, near the fireplace (well, June, myeslf, and two of our three kids are; Beckah, our eldest) is sitting in a chair, wrapped up in an electric blanket. She's as snug as a bug in a rug.
I am glad the holidays are over. They were CRAZY! Poor Beckah, though, was upset, so much, she cried when I took the lights down and we dismantled our tree. Christmas is her favorite season and she loves getting gifts from Santa Claus.
Santa Claus was very good to Beckah. She got several new dollies, some picture books about cats, come new sweaters that will be sure to keep her toasty-warm, some new shoes ("flats, no heels"), some thick socks, some sweat pants, some new crayons and coloring books, and drawing paper. She has been enjoying her presents very much.
Beckah has been in the hospital twice since I last wrote. Pneumonia again. The last time I thought she was going to kick the bucket; she was really sick. It scared us to see her lying in the Pediatric ICU, doped up on medication so she wouldn't pull out all the lines and tubes. But she eventually got better, and for that we thank God, as He brought her (and us) through a scary time!
I don't know if her lungs will ever be as strong as before she got pneumonia last year; these last two rounds of it certainly didn't help matters any. I'll be surprise if she didn't get any damage from it. Anyway, the doctor wants her to be on the oxygen for a while longer and for her to stay away from large crowds, especially now since the flu season is in full swing. It is really bad this year.
Despite that, Beckah has been doing quite well. We are really proud at how far she has come along. She may always be behind in comparison to other people her age, but she is determined to give it her all and try her very best. It's all we can expect from her and we will help her any time she needs it.
Well, I have to go. June made supper; tonight we're having chili over mashed potatoes; it's probably my favorite dish. It surely smells good cooking on the stove! I will write in here again with another update; until then, this is Howie Bennett saying so long and God bless!
This book consists of a 150 pages of Christian poetry about the end of time and the Second coming of Jesus Christ not as a servant but as a King, the King of kings. To bring righteousness and peace to the earth and restore the government of God! Peac
