Dear Journal~
Louisiana Sandusky here. I sit here at the hospital cafeteria, where I just got my lunch. I am having a turkey and lettuce sandwich, a baked potato, a fruit cup, and a Coke Classic for lunch. I just went on break not even ten minutes ago; have a little over an hour to kill before I have to clock back in for my shift (I get off at 7 tonight).
It is all I can do to keep from crying. No, I am not sad; in fact, I am happy. Extremely happy to the point of being estatic. I just found out last night that my daughter, Ronee' Le-Anne, is pregnant!! She is 3 weeks along; that means that I am going to be a grandma (AGAIN!)!! I am so happy for her, yet at the same time, my heart breaks because that means that Ronee' is no longer a little girl: she is all grown up, in college, and happily married to the most wonderful man!
How Ronee' found out that she was pregnant was the fact that she got sick after smelling coffee. Normally, the smell of coffee doesn't bother her, but since becoming pregnant, Ronee' gets sick whenever she smells it. She can't stand it. She went to the doctor (at her husband's insistance); this was how she (and Michael) found out that they were going to become parents sometime in October!
Johnny and his wife, Rebekka, are expecting as well: Rebekka is now nearly two months along and so far, all is going well. I pray that continues. So I am not only going to gain one grandchild this year, but two!!
Isn't that positively grand??
My co-workers know that something big is going on in my life: they have been barraging me with nonstop questions. I am happy to tell them the news. I just can't believe that the first two children I adopted are going to become PARENTS!!!!
That makes me feel old, but at the same time, I am thrilled to pieces!! I'm about to become a grandmother!!!!
Of course, Bill, my husband, is thrilled at the fact of becoming a grandpa for the umpteenth time! :) (We already have over a dozen grandkids now; what's two more?? :) ) I am sure he is at work, walking around, like a banty rooster, with his chest puffed out!
Just pray that Rebekka's preganncy continues to go well, and pray that Ronee' 's pregnancy does too. I (and they) would greatly appreciate it!
I will write in here again; going to eat now before my food gets cold. Until then, this is Louisiana Sandusky saying so long and God bless!
~Love, your friend in Tennessee, Louie May. :D
