     A man gets lost in a severe snowstorm. Adding to the mix is the fact that he has injured his eyes in an accident.

"Jesus, be my eyes.  If there was any time I needed you, it's now."

I could only think these thoughts as I groped my way through the snow.  I couldn't see a thing: I had fallen and pierced myself in the eye with a tree branch.  I had lost my vision; I was now enveloped in darkness.

What made matters worse was the fact that it was snowing ... and it felt like it was picking up in intensity, as was the wind.  Great.  A full blown blizzard.  I was in trouble, and nobody even knew my predicament excepting for yours truly.

Thank God I believed in a higher power, the Good Man Upstairs.  I had come to depend on Him for many avenues in my life and He has continually been there for me, both in good times and in (like now) bad.

I definitely needed a miracle ... and fast.

I lay there, gasping for breath.  I was exhausted from crawling in the snow.  I was freezing-cold; it felt like my body was turning into a block of ice.  I wouldn't be surprised if frostbite was starting to settle in: I could not feel my toes or my fingers that well; what I could feel of them translated into pain.  Severe, stabbing pain that never let up; I think the pain from my fingers and toes were in direct competition with the pain in my eyes.

If anybody found me, I prayed it would be soon.  If not, I would surely be dead in just hours, if not minutes, as it was turning sharply colder by the minute.  I was in serious trouble and I needed help as soon as possible.
