Aaiiee!! Laissez les bon temps rouler, chere's!
It's me, Ronee' Le-Anne Stinkowitz, reporting from Mardi Gras Central, Lafayette, Louisiana, at Blackham Coliseum! We are having a blast!!
This is Michael's second Mardi Gras; last year was his first time and he enjoyed it so much he wanted to go to this year's event! Well, we are doing it now as a married couple, and he's like a little kid: he can't get enough! LOL
I just have to be careful whenever I smell coffee: seems whenever I smell it, I get extremely nauseasted, so just in case, I have barf bags with us. I'm pregnant; found out last week, and I still can't believe it myself! I was planning on waiting at least another year before we tried to have a child, but it looks like God had other plans. LOL
The weather isn't too bad right now, but they just issued a tornado watch for our area until 11 p.m. tonight. Lovely. Just what I did NOT want to hear!! I'll have to do some heavy duty praying that we don't get any nasties later; there may be more than beads flying if the weather decides to get icky .... good thing the Mardi Gras celebration is being held indoors!!
I performed earlier; I performed with my band, "Cajun HEAT!" I always enjoy performing and seieng the people dance or smile as I play my Cajun music! That gives me such a feeling of joy and satisfaction, to know that I can make other people happy with the talents that God gave me! :)
Well, Michael and I want to dance (Belton Richard just came onto the stage), so I'm going to go now. I will write again another day. Until then, this is Ronee' Stinkowitz saying so long and may God bless! And if any of y'all go out and celebrate Mardi Gras, please be safe and if you must drink, drink responsibly! And due to the possibility of severe weather, keep your eyes to the skies and make sure y'all have a weather radio handy so y'all can hear the latest information and get to safety!
