A little bird told me something and since then I haven't been able to get it out of my mind.  There is a family at my church who is in the process of adopting a little girl from China and they don't have enough money to cover the cost of traveling to China, so they can meet and pick up their new daughter.

I have been thinking about this family for three days now and I have been feeling the nudge of the Holy Spirit to get involved somehow.  Not that I doubt God or anything (and I don't!), but what can I, a teenager, do in order to help this family out?

I talked to my parents about this; they seemed to think that this was a good idea.  I inquired about any suggestions that could bring the necessary funds for this family.  The ideas they gave me included hosting a bake sale, a car wash, having a talent show, or a book fair, where the proceeds could go to the Birdsong family.

So three days later, I have been brainstorming on how to get my friends at school or at church involved.  I want to help the Birdsongs out in some tangible way.

The Birdsong family already has a dozen children, four boys and eight girls, five, of which, were adopted from places like India, Haiti, and Ethiopia (Africa).  The child they are trying to adopt is a two-year-old girl named Ping Lee Bok, who was born with albinism and a cleft palate.  She may be Chinese, but she has very fair, pale skin, ice-blue almond-shaped eyes, and hair that is as white as freshly fallen snow.  I have seen Ping Lee's picture; she is absolutely beautiful!

I am sure that I will come up with something to get the community involved to help the Birdsong family!  Just keep me in your thoughts and prayers, and be praying that the Birdsong family can go to China to get Ping Lee and bring her home here to America!  I (and they) would greatly appreciate it.  Thanks and God bless!
