A woman comes to know Jesus Christ in a very unlikely place. This is her story.

My name is Nykkole Johnson.  I accepted Jesus Christ in the laundry room of my apartment complex last week.

I was doing laundry (duh!  Why else would I be in the laundry room??), minding my own business, when this lady came up to me and started talking to me about Jesus and what it takes to go to Heaven.

At first, I totally ignored her, but she insisted that I hear what she had to say.  Well, what she said must have been convincing because it wasn't long before I started asking her questions.  It also scared me because I soon realized that I needed to "get right with God" and had no choice but to ask Jesus to come into my life.

So right there, this lady and I  held hands and I prayed this simple little prayer ... and Jesus came into that laundry room ... and right into my life!

For the past week ever since this happened, I have noticed a radical change in my life.  For starters, I am no longer angry about past events and I have learned to forgive those people who hurt me in any way.  I have a sense of peace and hope in my heart and I feel like smiling all of the time!!

I know Jesus lives within me because I no longer care about going out clubbing with my friends or having sex with every Tom, Dick, or Harry that happens to come along.  For the first time I actually feel good about myself.

Whoever thought that Jesus, Himself, would save a lowly soul like myself, in, of all places, a laundry room??  Yet that is exactly what happened, and I am very grateful!!

God is good. He reaches out to us right where we are. Thank God. Apt, that she not only got her clothes clean, but her soul, as well. =] Excellent story, Karen.

(((HUGS))) and love, Karla.
