Hello!

My name is Suzette Marie Dugas.  Most everyone I know calls me Sucie (pronounced like Su-zee).  I am ten years old.  I live with my family in Pont Breaux (Breaux Bridge), Louisiana.  I am in the fourth grade at Acadiana Sacred Heart Elementary School.

I have two brotehrs and five sisters.  I'm in the middle.

Our grandmama and grandpapa live with us ass well.  They're my mama's parents.  Both are very old.

At school, my best friends are Theodosia (Theo) Bertrand and Meghan Chere' Duplechain.  We've been best friends since practically forever, it seems.  We play at each other's houses every weekend (usually after catechism on Saturdays or after Mass on Sundays).

As you can probably figure out, we are Catholic.  Most of us Cajuns are, it seems.

Some of my favorite things to do include playing with my younger brothers and sisters or playing with Meghan and Theo, listening to music, going to the French dances (or Cajun festivals), going to school, going to Mass, hunting for frogs, fishing, writing stories or poems in my journal, reading, singing, and learning to play the fiddle.  My grandpapa is teaching me.

When I grow up, I want to be a mama and have kids of my own or to be a writer or maybe, perhaps, a teacher.  Or maybe even a singer or a musician.  I have lots of dreams, as you can see.

Well, I hate to run, but English class is about to end; music class comes next, which is my favorite class.  I will write in here again another time; until then, this is Sucie Dugas saying bye!  God bless you too!
