Dear All:

Please keep the prayers and well wishes coming!  They seem to be working.  Camille is not any worse; she continues to hold her own.  She is still in the coma, but she does respond to deep pain stimuli and moves when doctors or nurses jab her with needles or rub her chest.  She also grimaces.  At least she's responding a little, but the danger is still not over yet.

As you know, she has MRSA as well as septicemia.  She is very, very sick.  She is swollen and doesn't look like herself, but I know it's Camille.  I am her mother, after all; I see her every day.

The family is together.  Most of the kids are either at the house, or at their respective motels or even here with me (Anh, Steffi, Ronee' and Michael, my Michael, Starlight, Summer Song, Andre', and Sunshine Lee, as well as Gemini and Sergei).  It is good to see all my kids together once again, but I wish it were under different circumstances.

When I'm not with Camille, I update my friends and extended family members with calls, updates on my Facebook page, as well as on my adoption community blog, my own personal blog at Blogging.com, and on the church website (I have been helping out with the church newsletter as one of the ladies is on a cruise to the Mediterranean).  So everyone is being kept up to date regarding Camille and our situation.

I did manage to go home today to grab some clean clothes and do a load of laundry; I then updated the troops at home and got myself a bite to eat at Shoney's on the way back to Vanderbilt Children's.  I have been ripping and roaring ever since 7 this morning (but again, that is nothing new with me! LOL).

I am happy to say that Camille had a restful night (of course, the drugs are helping her sleep); her vital signs have remained fairly stable and she hasn't had any real issues.  I am praying that continues.  I just hate seeing her lying there looking so swollen and helpless!  It's one of the hardest things for a Mama to go through to see her child so sick!

Well, I'm going to get to the cafeteria and grab a green tea and a salami and Swiss cheese sandwich; I'm a little starved!  Didn't eat that much at Shoney's; the food was cold.  LOL  I will write in here with another update, probably in a few days.  Hopefully she will start showing improvement or turns the corner and then start recovering!  That is the ultimate goal, and that is what our prayers are focused on!  Just pray for a miracle for Camille and keep us all in your thoughts as well!  I (and the family) would greatly appreciate it!  Thanks in advance; may God bless y'all!  Y'all mean so much to me!!
