Easter Sunday, March 31, 2013, Nashville, TN (10:00 a.m., CDT)

Praise God, is all I can say.  A complete turnaround in Camille's overall condition.

While she is not out of the woods, she is awake and beginning to communicate with us.  (She doesn't talk well,so her preferred method is Sign Language.)

Camille is currently eating her first meal in over two weeks. Liquids, but much better than nothing.  She is managing to keep everything down and has not had any issues.  Thank God.

It is so nice to be able to look into her big brown eyes and to see her moving around.  Her vital signs and her organ function have been steadily improving by the day.  The doctor said she might be moved to Step Down by this evening if she continues to do as well as she is doing.

The IV infiltrated, so it was changed earlier.  Poor Camille has a paw for a left hand.  She cried a little when the nurse changed it, but that was nice to see: my daughter responding!  My brave girl.

Antibiotics continue. They will for a while, to fight  the infections she has.  No allergic reactions and they finally seem to be doing what they're supposed to be doing.

I even got to go home and sleep in my own bed.  That's how good she is.  Bill missed me, as did the kids at home and the pets.  Cajun Gold nearly knocked me over, she was so happy to see me.

I usually go to church, but was so glad to witness a resurrection of sorts here, with my daughter.  What a miraculous recovery she has shown the past two days.  As sick as she was, the medical team was not holding out much hope for her from these two serious diseases.

God had other plans.  Thank You, Lord, for giving me my Camille back to me.

My family went to church, and I'm here with Camille.  She just had a bath and looks so much better.  Smells better, too.  LOL  She was quite ripe.  LOL

Won't THEY be surprised at the change in her condition.  And no, I didn't tell them.  Want to see the looks on their faces.

The family will join me after church.  Maybe later, we'll go out to eat at the Golden Corral ... our favorite hangout.   We love that place.  Their food is so delicious!!

Well, Camille is now sleeping.  Peacefully, under her own power.  No more respirator.  YAY!!!!  Breathing is perfect.  Heart rate within normal limits (a bit fast).  Blood pressure still low, but not critically so.  She has a bit of a temp.  Understandable, with septicemia and MRSA.  Could be so much worse.

Grateful it's not.

I think I'm going to lay down in the waiting room and take a snooze.  Got to catch up on my sleep or I'm not going to be any use to anybody.  LOL

Will update as things warrant.  Just keep those prayers coming:  they are really helping!!  Thank you, and God bless you this Easter Sunday.
