Dear All~
Thank you for the prayers; God is working miracles even as I jot this down in my journal! God has been so good to us; I can't help but to praise Him!!
Today Camille had her first solid food and she kept it down without any problem. She did gag on the one pill the nurse gave her (antibiotic), but she still managed to keep her breakfast where it belonged: in her stomach.
She is now out of the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU): she is now in a regular room!! That means she can have visitors and they can stay as long as they wish. She has had a ton of visitors (mostly friends and family); she has become very popular. Even doctors and nurses who heard about her miraculous recovery from septicemia and MRSA want to stop in to see "the miracle child"!
Everybody has been so loving, kind, and generous. They've been festooning our daughter with gifts of all kinds; they've also been bringing me meals (and paying for them!) and money (I tell them the money really isn't necessary); still the thought is nice. It is great to know that people care!
Some of the children who came out of state have since returned home, but they still keep in touch with me. They are tickled pink that their little sister has made such vast strides in her recovery. I already miss them ....
Ronee' is still here, and Johnny and his wife, Rebekka, have stopped in several times to see their sister. Michael, Ronee' 's husband, has been helping Bill with the yardwork, as have the older, more able-bodied kids; we both truly do appreciate their generosity and courtesy.
Ronee' and Michael will probably be leaving tomorrow to head back to Louisiana. Then in a few weeks she will be graduating from college. Hard to believe that her college career is nearly over; it went by so quickly! Where does the time go??
We will be going to Louisiana next month for the annual Crawfish Festival in Breaux Bridge; that is always an annual tradition with our family. We are all looking forward to Cajun style good times and putting this latest family crisis behind us for good; this is not the way to spend our days: worrying and praying over a desperately sick child! I just thank God that Camille is doing so much better; it's been nothing but miraculous!
Well, the lunch tray is here, so I will help Camille with her food. She is still pretty week; it will be a while before she builds up her strength. She will probably be in the hospital for at least another week, according to her doctors, but she has rallied so well. We are all so very happy and relieved!! I will write again soon; until then, this is Louisiana Sandusky saying take care; may God bless you as much as He's been blessing us (and especially Camille)!

Will be finding out soon just what Ronee' is having. I am hoping for a new grandson, but even if it is a granddaughter, I'll be happy, especially if the baby is healthy! :) She continues to do well in her pregnancy. :)
