A person continues to be "bugged" by the severe itching problem he has had for over a year and a half now. He is growing increasingly frustrated.

I swear the damned doctors don't know anything or how to help me get any relief. I am still feeling as if I am having bugs crawling inside my skin and I continue to scratch my skin. I have horrible scratch marks all up and down my arms and I am sure I will be left with scarring once they heal. Seems they never do because once they start to scab over, the itching only intensifies and I am scratching at my arms again, reopening the wounds. It's a catch twenty-two situatlon, a vicious cycle, if you prefer to call it that.
I have been from one doctor to the next, trying to get answers. They think it may be allergy related, but all the tests I have had have proved to be inconclusive. They can't seem to pin a direct cause of my problem. I swear some of them are beginning I am only doing this because I have OCD (obsessive compulsive disorder) or they probably think that all this itching is all in my head. I bet some of them would want me to see a shrink 'cause they think I'm going crazy.
Well, I probably AM going crazy. Crazy 'cause I'm not getting the answers I need to solve my problem or seem to be getting any relief from the itching! What am I going to do?? It's gotten so bad at times I can't think of anything else and I'm seriously starting to think of killing myself becaue the itching is. Driving. Me. CRAZY!!!!!

I have been having a lot of problems with seborrhea. It is not as itchy as you describe, but it can be annoying at times. I went to a dermatologist a few years ago, he told me that because I have spinal cord injury, the seborrhea is caused by stress. So, as my stress increases, so does the itching.
