If I have to put up with any more shenanigans from Jaws, it will be too soon.
We have a Norwegian Forest cat who thinks it is a pit bull. He loves to bite people at any given chance. We don't think he's doing it to be mean; we just think he is bored.
I don't know why: we've gotten him plenty of kitty toys to play with, but he would rather bite people. Hence his name; we got Jaws as a 12 week old kitten, and it was my son, Noah, who suggested we name him Jaws. Turns out it couldn't have been a more perfect choice for our pet.
Jaws is a beautiful cat: solid black fur with silver tips, a big, bushy, fluffy tail, tall well tufted ears, big almond-shaped blue eyes, very long white whiskers, and a dark-rose colored nose. He looks like he could be a show cat, he's so gorgeous, but sadly his biting habit has sidelined any possible chance of a show cat career.
No matter who it is, no person is safe from Jaws' wrath. He even bites us, his own family. I can't tell you how many times we've been bitten or clawed by Jaws. Our arms and legs bear the scars inflicted by our terror-cat.
We have taken him to cat behavioural specialists, but to no avail. Jaws continues to be as "bite-y" and unpredictable as ever. One never knows when he will go off on a biting rampage. One minute, he can be settled on your lap, purring his face off, and the next: WHAMMO! He turns right into vampire-kitty!!
If anybody has any suggestions short of giving him back to the local animal shelter where we got him, we would greatly appreciate it! Thanks!
