I did the dumbest thing earlier today; because of it I ended up having to go to the emergency room.

I was trying to build an airplane and instead of using regular Elmer's glue, I opted to use Super Glue because the pieces I had just weren't sticking.  I ended up gluing my fingers closed.  I could not get them unstuck, no matter how hard I tried.

I showed my parents what had happened; they immediately bundled me into the car, where they drove me to the nearest hospital emergency room.  I ended up wasting an entire afternoon waiting to be seen by the doctor when I could have had my airplane done and possibly flying by now.  I was not amused.

I also was not amused when the doctor had to pry my fingers apart.  Hurt didn't even begin to describe the pain.  My fingers were red, blistered, and raw.  I ended up having 'em bandaged, so now it looks like I have a burned paw for a hand.

And my parents, of course, are hundreds of dollars poorer.  They aren't too happy with me.  As a result, I am to stay away from Dad's Super Glue and stick to using the regular glue I have been using.

Such as life.  A rather painful lesson learned, but one I will probably take to heart once my fingers start to heal .... :(
